We are really excited to be introducing our brand new product, Proguard FR Recycled Protection Board! This product and the Proguard FR Correx Protection Board have very similar properties which may cause some confusion between the two, however, in this blog, we explain the slight differences between them.
Similarities
Both of these protection boards have the same use, to provide efficient protection from knocks, scratches, and spills to a number of different surfaces, including floors, doors, walls, and stairs. They are both lightweight and flexible, allowing them to be cut, creased, and curved quickly and easily. Both products are also 100% waterproof, durable, and resistant to chemicals. These products are also exactly the same price!
Differences
One of the main differences between these two products is that the Proguard FR Recycled Protection Board is made from 50% recycled materials. Both products are 100% recyclable and reusable, although, the Proguard FR Recycled Protection Board is better for the environment because of what it is made from.
The other difference is that the Proguard FR Recycled Protection Board is flame retardant to DIN 4102-1:1998-05, B1 standard, whereas the Proguard FR Correx Protection Board is to LPS1207 - Certificate number 227a. This means that the Proguard FR Recycled Protection Board is at a better flame retardant standard.
To conclude, the Proguard FR Recycled Protection Board and Proguard FR Correx Protection Board are very similar in terms of use and properties. However, if you are looking for a product that is better for the environment and has a better standard of flame retardant, the Proguard FR Recycled Protection Board is for you.
If you are looking for further ways to help reduce your impact on the environment, we have a recycling scheme where we fully recycle your Correx boards and reuse them in the production of new plastic products. Read more here.
